Thursday 29th November

Greg, Niall, James and Damien were out today climbing in the Cairngorms.  They climbed Invernookie, The Seam and Short Circuit.  Greg reported the turf to be frozen once the first pitch of these routes is climbed (they share the first pitch).  He also reported other parties climbing in the corrie but is unsure what routes they were on.

The weather during the day consisted of blustery snow showers and sunny periods.

Tuesday 27th November

The Northern corries are still in condition today.

Damien and Mark were out and climbed Invernookie reporting good frozen turf and lots of snow on the ledges.

Fiacaill buttress is in the best condition of the buttresses.  The only other teams they spotted were on Fiacaill Ridge.

Sunday 25th November

Out today in the Northern Corries with Damien and Paul.  There is a lot of snow and rime on the buttresses making climbing quite time consuming.  We climbed Fiacaill Buttress which is easy to follow using the photo diagram in the new Cairngorms guidebook.

Other teams were climbing in and around The Rampant area and on The Seam.  We also spotted teams at the bottom of the Lamp.

Visibility was poor and lots of snow was getting deposited on Fiacaill Buttress.

Friday 23rd November

Hi Folks.  Well good winter conditions seem to have arrived in the Cairngorms.  Mr Miaggi and Tony Stone were out yesterday and climbed Belhaven in the Northern Corries.  They found the conditions very hard going with deep snow everywhere.

Tony also reported that it would be possible to ski on the plateau.
