Robin and I were out with a Falkirk Outdoors climbing team today of Brian, Emanuelle and Lynsey. We headed for Traprain Law; the crag was dry and the rain held off until after we’d finished climbing, which made for a good day.
John and I were out at Traprain Law today with a Falkirk Outdoors climbing team of Amanda, Annie, Donald, Lynsey and Sarah. Amanda, Donald and I spent the day looking at leading on trad gear. It was a beautiful sunny day and the routes there are all currently dry.
Donald, May and I spent today at Traprain Law in East Lothian. It was a Rock Climbing Development Day for Falkirk Community Trust Outdoors. We climbed a number of climbs on both The Lammer and Overhang Wall and looked at some useful climbing knots/hitches and abseil descents with and without prussiks.
It was cold earlier on with a fresh wind, but the crag was generally dry and climbing was pleasant once the sun had warmed things up.
I was at Traprain Law in East Lothian today with a Falkirk Community Trust Outdoors climbing team of Linda and Oleysa. We had a good day climbing a number of routes and avoiding the rain further West.
I spent last week working for Falkirk Community Trust on their excellent Summer Programme for kids.
During the week I was out with groups on The Chain Walk and Coasteering at Elie; gorge walking near Balquhidder and at Muiravonside and rock climbing at Traprain Law.
I was at Traprain Law today with Craig working for Falkirk Community Trust. Craig had a team of three for a crag day, whilst I was doing a learn to lead on trad gear course for Andrea and Marco, who are both sports climbers.
It was cool and cloudy in the morning, but the sun came out in the afternoon and the crag was dry and worked well as a venue.
