I was out today running a hill walking navigation course for The City of Edinburgh Council Adult Education. We started from Hillend and used the northern Pentlands. Winds were strong with a bit more rain than forecast, so we stayed lower than I normally would for this course to make use of available shelter.

Skiing at Hillend

It was beautiful today at Midlothian Ski Centre in the Pentland Hills where I was teaching skiing. This season I will be writing reports from next month onwards from ski touring days both in Scotland and the Alps. The first of these will hopefully be soon as it looks like the conditions may not be far away.
